The
但泽自由市 is a releasable state of
波兰 that cannot be released by any state played normally - it may only appear by rebellion against Poland if it does the focus Clamp Down on Danzig. Once the Ban the Nazi Party focus is completed by Poland, the Danzig core is removed. If the free city is conquered by another country, the Danzig core is also removed.
The Free City of Danzig (German: Freie Stadt Danzig; Polish: Wolne Miasto Gdańsk) was a city-state under the protection and oversight of the League of Nations between 1920 and 1939, consisting of the Baltic Sea port of Danzig (now Gdańsk, Poland) and nearly 200 other small localities in the surrounding areas. The polity was created on 15 November 1920 in accordance with the terms of Article 100 (Section XI of Part III) of the 1919 Treaty of Versailles after the end of World War I.
Although predominantly German-populated, the territory was bound by the imposed union with Poland covering foreign policy, defence, customs, railways and post, but remained distinct from both the post-war German Republic and the newly independent Polish Republic. In addition, Poland was given certain rights pertaining to port facilities in the city.
The Free City of Danzig was the centre of the 1939 crisis that led to World War II breaking out in Europe.
On 1 September 1939, the day of the German invasion of the Free City of Danzig, Forster signed a law declaring the Free City to be incorporated into Germany. On the same day, Hitler signed a law declaring the law signed by Forster to be German law and the Free City of Danzig was officially incorporated into Germany.
At the Yalta Conference in February 1945, the Allies agreed that the city would become part of Poland. No formal treaty has ever altered the status of the Free City of Danzig, and its incorporation into Poland has rested upon the general acquiescence of the international community. Subsequently, several groups proclaimed they represented the Free City of Danzig Government in Exile, a continuation of the state.

Free City of Danzig can be played independently, either if the player uses console commands or appear by rebellion against Poland. With a tiny core population slightly smaller than
阿曼, equal as
几内亚比绍, 1 state and 2 military factories, 3 naval dockyards and 1 civilian factory, Free City of Danzig has a way for expansion, rather a difficult one. With no resources, and 3 research slots, it can make a slight difference.
As a starting nation, the fascist branch can. At a certain time if Poland comes into its senses, it will serve better as another annexed state. Or as an additional core for the
德意志国 by invading
波兰 in the process. The obvious choices for the mini Germany in Poland is to stay fascist and assist
The Fatherland or become communist and join the
苏联
Now, the first thing you should do is take the first Political focus, which will give you 120 political power, plus the 70 you have already accumulated. Use this to get a fascist advisor. Yes, I know, going fascist is the go-to strategy for basically every minor, but if it works, it works. While you wait for fascist support to tick up, take some industrial focuses to get some free factories. Grab the two free civilian factories first, then get the three military factories. By this time you should be above fifty percent fascist support. Use your excess political power to get war economy, and if you have any extra left, get some Improved Worker Conditions or Anti-Communist/Democratic raids. You can join Germany to assist with their invasions. Otherwise, if your manpower is still an issue you can go communist to get to the weekly manpower army experience as Danzig Commune and joining the Soviet Union.
By now you should have a total of 10 or 11 factories- 3 civilian and 5 military. One of your civilian factories will be used for consumer goods, so use the remaining one to either build some more civs or trade for some steel. Use one of your 3 military factories to produce artillery, and use the other 2 to build guns. Set some factories to build support equipment as well once you get some more mils.
At this point, you should've flipped fascist/communist already, so start justifying on Poland. Initially join the Axis for the support from
The Fatherland, since Poland does start with a good army. At the same time start working on the political focuses. Make a template of one cavalry unit, and spam it out. You should also have a fair amount of political power at this point, so take some stability-increasing decisions. Should you declare on Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia or Hungary and win against them each other can give you enough expansion and access to some valuable resources and sea access.
