This achievement can be combined with 我占据高地和圣地的救星, which this guide does in Option 2.

注意： To be counted as the country that capitulated the  苏联, it is necessary to achieve the highest war score from all participants.

Backstabbing the USSR as Communist Afghanistan

With historical AI turned on, flip to 共产主义. A tip for doing well in the civil war is to complete the focus Adopt Nufus before starting the civil war, then immediately start the focus A Standing Army after the civil war starts. The Expand Border Guards focus will also give you 4 fully equipped militia divisions, assuming you have researched support equipment. Use your 陆军经验 to buy the Academy Scholarships 军校精神 to help recruit new generals and the Ideological Loyalty 陆军精神 to get 500 weekly 人力. Use the communist focuses and decisions to annex and core the land from the  苏联 while building up your army. Around 1940, take the focus Topple the Shah of Iran to go to war with  伊朗 (do not call anyone in). In the peace deal, annex all coastal and a few inland states, and then puppet the rest of  伊朗. Build 海军船坞 in the coastal states (delete factories if you have to) and start making convoys. Use the  Iranian傀儡国人力 to make line holding infantry, while you save the  Afghan 人力 for offensive units. Reducing  伊朗 to 整合傀儡国 status will also give you access to more factories. Given  Afghanistan's relatively small population size, it is recommended that you invest in Field Hospital support companies at some point.

When  德国 attacks the  苏联, help them defend themselves. Avoid using the  Iranian units at this point so you do not give  伊朗 too many autonomy points. Focus on putting your divisions in easily defendable places like behind rivers or in cities. This is a good time to start researching refinery, air, and navy technology (do not forget naval invasion techs). Going for the Purchase Capital Ships focus is also advised. Do not select the decision to purchase destroyers from the  美国 or  英国 when they first become available, as that may lock you out of being able to buy dreadnoughts from them. After several years, the 同盟国 should get their act together and pull enough 轴心国 divisions off the Eastern Front to allow you to push them back to Berlin. Assuming the Yalta Conference event goes through correctly, when the Axis capitulates, the  苏联 should puppet  东德 in the peace deal, which will bring the important second major country into the Comintern.

At this point, you have two options on how to proceed:

Option 1: Only go for this achievement

In the peace deal, try to annex or puppet as much useful land with high populations or factory counts as possible to bolster your tiny industry. Leave the Comintern, and if possible start preparing collaboration governments on the  苏联. Draw upon your puppet 人力 to create more line holding infantry while trying to focus your own divisions on being offensive units. Build fighters and CAS, which will be critical for cutting through the Soviet division spam. Justify and declare war on the  苏联. Since fighting the Comintern alone or with your  Iranian puppet will give you all or most of the war participation, after capitulating the  苏联, the achievement will fire.

Option 2: Go for all three Afghan achievements

In the peace deal, focus on puppeting a few states in northern  德国/ 丹麦, and then taking as much navy as possible. In the interim peace, build up your rubber supply, air force (fighters and CAS), and navy (submarines are cheap and can interrupt Allied supply). Try to purchase capital ships from  东德,  意大利, and  法国 (make sure your opinion is as high as possible, but sometimes even if they accept the ships do not show up and you still have to pay). If you have not already done so, train some Mountaineers, as they will be very useful when it comes to fighting in  土耳其, the  英属印度,  尼泊尔, and  不丹. The focus Dominate the Mountains dramatically increases your special forces cap, so you can also train Marines for future naval invasions. Plan naval invasions from your puppeted  德国/ Danish land into the  英国 and set your fleet on strike force in the North Sea/Eastern North Sea.

Station your  Iranian puppet divisions on your vulnerable fronts such as against  伊拉克 and the  英属印度. Justify and declare war on the  英国. Call in the  苏联, but do not call in your puppets. If you activate the naval invasion order before declaring, the AI will not put their navy out for a few hours, allowing your invasion to launch. Killing the  英国 early is critical to your success as that prevents them from being able to build new planes and divisions. After capitulating the  英国, make sure you garrison it well, as the AI will attempt to do many naval invasions to take it back. This can actually be a good thing, as encircling the failed naval invasions will help reduce the overall number of Allied divisions. Help the  苏联 kill the Allied countries in Europe, starting with  土耳其 to protect the  苏联 from naval invasions in the Black Sea, and then moving on to the Middle East and Western Europe. As you encircle Allied divisions in Europe, their frontline against you in the  英属印度 will likely start thinning, which will give you the opportunity to kill the  英属印度, which will give you lots of 人力. At this time, you can also justify and declare on  尼泊尔,  不丹, and  沙特阿拉伯 to get your required states for the other two achievements (我占据高地和圣地的救星). If you kill them quickly, they may not join the Allies and you will get a separate peace deal for each one.

Continue whittling down the Allied navies until you can cross the Atlantic and capitulate the remaining Allied majors (likely the  美国,  加拿大, and  American Japan by this point). In the peace deal, focus on annexing the  英国 home islands, the Middle East/Egypt ( 伊拉克,  英属巴勒斯坦托管地, Suez), and the  英属印度, and puppeting the  美国和 土耳其 (annex the states around Dardanelles and Bosporus Straits to gain access to the Black Sea). Other useful actions include puppeting  英属马来亚 or the  荷属东印度 for a rubber supply, and puppetting the  英国 in a few states so that the  苏联 does not puppet them and turn their remaining air force against you. Use your remaining warscore to create puppets to protect your flanks from the land the  苏联 is annexing/puppeting.

After this second peace deal, leave the Comintern. Use American industry, resources, and 人力 to bolster your ranks before justifying and declaring on the  苏联. Do not call your puppets into the war. Fighting only in the Central Asian deserts will be a slog, so a good strategy is to launch naval invasions through or paradrops over the Black Sea from  土耳其. Creating collaboration governments would also be a good idea. After capitulating the  苏联, the achievement will fire.

With historical AI turned off, go for 法基尔的起义 and then onto Restore the Timurid Empire.

You'll likely need to make a few runs to hit on a favorable arrangement of factions. The optimal scenario is one where  新疆 stays out of factions till after your civil war, and where the  英属印度 either goes solo (uncommon) or ends up in a weak faction (typically because the UK goes fascist).

Win the civil war, invade Sinkiang if it's not in faction with China, then attack Iran. All the way up to this point, you'll be severely manpower constrained, and have difficulty fielding more than 30 divisions even on "Extensive Conscription", especially if you lose a lot of men in the civil war. So, Iran may be tough, especially if you don't conquer and core Sinkiang first (they'll have more manpower 和 more factories than you) - bleed them by letting them storm your entrenched positions for a while before attacking.

With Iran annexed, turn your attention to the Raj. Hopefully most of their divisions will be fighting elsewhere, so their borders will be lightly defended and you can rush the defenses.

Restore the Timurid Empire gives you cores in Iran and parts of India, and it allows you to core some other conquered states for 35pp and 7 days per state. So, annexing Iran triples your core population, and, by the time you reach Delhi, you'll go from having no manpower to having vast manpower reserves (India has multiple states with populations of 40M each, compared to your entire starting core population of 6.6M). Once you've capitulated the Raj and cored everything, you'll have 200 factories, the core population of 200M, and it should not be difficult to hold on to your acquisitions.

Consolidate and go to war with the Soviet Union.
