蒙疆

 蒙疆, also known as  蒙疆, is a independent military nation in East Asia with a population of 2.03 M. Located within the Inner Mongolian region, it borders  满洲国 to the east,  冀察 to the south,  晋系 to the west, and  蒙古 to the north. In 1939,  蒙疆 is a  日本 皇家保护国 nation.

历史背景

The separation between Inner and Outer Mongolia can date back to Qing's reign, with the former one ruled by appointed officers and latter one by hereditary princes. The Mongolian Autonomous Movement broke out with the founding on the Republic of China, who tended to retain its control over this region. This movement ended up a failure until Japan’s occupation of Manchuria in 1931 and the establishment of the puppet state of  满洲国.

 日本 sought to expand its influence further into  蒙古 and North China. In a series of actions, starting in 1933, an army supposed by  日本 occupied Chahar and in 1936 formed the independent Mongol Military Government (later renamed to the Mongol/Mengjiang United Autonomous Government), allied with  日本 under Prince Demchugdongrub. In 1940, Mengjiang government was made part of Wang Jingwei's Japanese cooperated government of  中国, which had only nominal sovereignty over it.

During the war, Prince Demchugdongrub's army also conquered and annexed the province of Suyiuan, fighting alongside the Japanese Army. It ceased to exist in 1945 when it was invaded by the Soviet Red Army and Mongol Red Army as part of the Manchurian Strategic Offensive Operation. Most of the area is now a part of the  中华人民共和国.

"Menjiang" means "Mongol Border Land", and was probably inspired by the name " 新疆". " 蒙疆" as an unofficial name was first literally used by an American writer in 1937.

策略与指南

Playing as  蒙疆 is very hard, the first problem that needs to be addressed is the player's total lack of industry.  蒙疆 actually holds the title for having the lowest starting industry out of any nation in the game. Along with  甘马（马家军） for that matter.

Delete one unit and pick "Political Effort" as the first focus. Immediately spent it on the communist advisor. Your goal will be to declare civil war as soon as possible, even sooner depending if  日本 decides to go with its fascist branch or not. Take "Collectivist Ethos" but don't take the nationalist branch yet, as it is required that  蒙疆 have high communist support. Spent your first pp (besides the advisor) on preparing for a civil war. Don't take any focus to get pp to expand military support in the decisions. If the player wants to start the civil war, make sure you finish "Nationalism Focus" and have enough pp to start Anti-Communist raids and then "Ignite Civil War" to begin the independence of 蒙疆. As 蒙疆, the player only has to worry about  蒙疆 as neither  日本 nor  满洲国 would do anything to help  蒙疆 other than possible lend-lease, which would be redundant if the civil war is ignited early. If AI  蒙疆 would try rushing his military factory focus, allow the AI to finish those focuses as you will take those factories whilst keeping Mengjiang's construction focus available for further expansion. Since the player deleted one unit, there should be only one unit on each side. Whilst the player will be showered with infantry equipment from  蒙古和 唐努乌梁海,  蒙疆 is left barren. Use one unit to counter the other unit to buy time for train troops.

After defeating  蒙疆, you will have the nationalist branch open for manpower and the communism to join the Comintern. Joining the faction will automatically make Mengjiang the second most populous Comintern nation with a free 7% manpower from the focus tree.

In addition, Mengjiang can ironically become the second most industrial power in China, only behind Chiang's  中国, thanks due to both its and civil war counterpart's generic focus trees. And it can form Greater Mongolia, should it go to war with the Comintern (The Soviet Union, Mongolia, Tannu Tuva) and Sinkiang.
