宁马（马家军）

 宁马（马家军） is a Chinese warlord state in northwestern China with a population of 2.63 M. It borders  晋系 and the  中华苏维埃共和国 to the east, the  东北军 to the south,  青马（马家军） to the west, and  蒙古 to the north. Ruled by Ma Hongkui, it is part of the Ma Clique, together with  甘马（马家军）,  和田马家军, and Qinghai Ma.

历史背景

The Ma Clique warlords were all Generals in the military of the Republic of China, who controlled all of Mainland China until it was overtaken by the communist People's Liberation Army. The clique was begun by Muslim generals who served in the military of the Qing dynasty, most notably in the Kansu Braves army, who fought in the Boxer Rebellion against invading foreign forces. It was continued by two generations of their descendants. During the Second Sino-Japanese War, Ma Clique forces fought against the Japanese and later Ma Bufang leader of the Ma Clique was ordered by the Kuomintang to invade  新疆 in the 1940s to intimidate and help oust the forces of the pro Soviet Governor Sheng Shicai. The Ma Clique forces also clashed with the forces of the Second East Turkestan Republic during the Ili Rebellion.

 宁马（马家军） uses the shared Warlords national focus tree along with the other warlords, along with a branch shared with the other Ma warlords. It also gets access to the new shared Nationalist和共产主义 focus trees for the warlords at the end of the tree.

策略与指南

Playing as  宁马（马家军） is slightly hard, the first problem that needs to be addressed is the player's almost total lack of industry. Although, it starts with one military factory, one tungsten and two units of coal.

Apart that its population is smaller, but unlike  甘马（马家军）,  宁马（马家军） takes the advantage of the opportunity to start with a better territory and a slightly bigger army.

Pick "Develop Ningxia" as the first focus. Immediately rush it down until you get everything necessary to produce and build anything. Your goal will be to declare and unite all of the Ma nations as soon as possible, even sooner depending if  日本 decides to go with its fascist branch or not. Take "Strengthening Our Position" and go for opposition, in order to go down and produce and get more manpower out of it. Pick "Strike at the Traitors" instead of "Demand Submission" as the latter focus will take on forever to integrate and finally form Gansu Ma as the  西北三马.

If the player wants to do the other part, make sure you prepare yourself to fight Sinkiang, the player only has to worry about  宁马（马家军） as to take down and annex Sinkiang, in order to go as far as unite all of China. Fighting the Ma's can be relatively tedious. Gansu Ma and Khotan Ma being relatively easy to take down with the outmanoeuvring strategy. And Qinghai Ma would be a decent difficulty as they have more territory (despite being known as the original Xibei San Ma). If the player has finally taken Gansu Ma, go for Khotan Ma, first and then Qinghai Ma second. Khotan Ma falls weak and defeated against the looming war with Sinkiang, so if the player wishes to incorporate cores faster, then Khotan Ma has to go first. Finally with Qinghai Ma last, by using the same outmanoeuvring and pin down attack strategies, Ningxia Ma can form Xibei San Ma. With this done and if the player has completed all of the warlord focuses of Ningxia Ma, it is time to rush and go for Warlord subjugation in the generic Nationalist China focus tree. It would give a few wargoals for the player to strike and annex the warlords. Alternatively, go with the "Invite Foreign Investors" by rushing down all the way until you reach the "One China Policy".

Considering that the "Renegotiate the Unequal Treaties" focus is usually bypassed as Xibei San Ma doesnt have the national spirit. If China and the rest of the East sided warlords are at war with Japan, it is a good opportunity to pick targets one by one. Be vary of the territories. Of the said nations. The Northeastern Army, in comparison to Sichuan and Communist China, is an easier target. Whereas the other two tend to increase their army, and utilize their mountainous terrain. In alternative to that, use the border conflict decision missions as an alternative to gain territory against the neighbors. Make sure to fix the supply routes, research trains and improve on division templates. Otherwise, if that proves to be obsolete, simply declare war on them by "One China Policy" focus, battle them in a preferable terrain. Or, research mountaineer divisions to fare better in the mountainous battlefields.

In addition, Ningxia Ma can ironically become the second most industrial power in China, only behind Chiang's  中国, thanks due to both its Warlord and Ma Clique shared focus trees.
